Mr. Murphy Teaches Ceramics and Art I

Art class is taught as studio art with emphasis on observation, techniques, and application of skills used to create art.  Grades are based on participation, perseverance, and problem solving.   Curriculum is based on the Elements of Design and the Principles of Composition.  There will be some quizzes based on vocabulary and tools, but most assessment is portfolio based on in-class projects, along with some homework sketchbook assignments and artist research.
